The new salary thresholds for the Belgian fast track work permits B and the EU Blue Card have been announced for 2015. The thresholds vary according to the three Belgian regions (Flanders, Brussels, and Wallonia). Each of these new thresholds will go into effect on January 1st, 2015.

The following are the new salary thresholds for Flanders:

  • For highly skilled work permits: 39,802 €
  • For executive level work permits: 66,405 €
  • For Blue Cards: 51,465 €

The following are the new salary thresholds for Brussels:

  • For highly skilled work permits: 39,802 €
  • For executive level work permits: 66,405 €
  • For Blue Cards: 51,466 €

The following are the new salary thresholds for Wallonia:

  • For highly skilled work permits: 39,802 €
  • For executive level work permits: 66,405 €
  • For Blue Cards: 51,465 or 51,466 €

Additionally, in the Wallonia region, legislation has been passed that requires confirmation of the following two items: the salary must be paid in exchange for labor and the salary amount must be fixed prior to the start date of employment in Belgium.
