Martyrs’ Day honors the country’s veterans and is celebrated on December 1st. The UAE also celebrates National Day which is observed during December 2nd-5th, in honor of their independence from Britain that occurred on December 2, 1971. Immigration processing and other government services will not be available during this period therefore employers and foreign nationals should plan to file any applications before the holidays to avoid potential delays.
