The Quebec Immigrant Investor Program will reopen on September 10, 2018. This program allows foreign investors to obtain permanent residency through investment. The system will open for a total of 1900 applications or until March 15, 2019.
The program has been modified to include higher requirements in net assets of $2 million CAD (previously $1.6 million CAD) and $1.2 million CAD in investments (previously $800,000 CAD). The program also requires a five year term with a subsidiary of Investissement Quebec which must be made through the Quebec Immigrant Investor Program (QIIP).
