Ms. Carmen Saleh Fakhoury owns and manages Fakhoury Global Immigration (FGI), a WBE-certified company, headquartered in Troy, Michigan. FGI specializes in business-based immigration, helping corporate clients in the international movement of their talent. FGI provides strategic advice in the area of immigration and compliance and obtains work permits, residence permits and visas globally. Launched in 2005, FGI offers white-glove service to clients in the high tech, manufacturing, energy, banking and automotive industries.
Ms. Fakhoury wanted to bring a business-based approach to the complex practice of immigration law. Through Six Sigma principles, technology, and outstanding immigration expertise, FGI has changed the dynamic of immigration law and made the practice more client-centered and technology focused. Coupled with her love for international travel and her conviction for facilitating talent mobility solutions worldwide, Ms. Fakhoury has nurtured FGI into a global enterprise that has helped businesses in over 180 countries.
Ms. Fakhoury’s background and education in business, program management, and lean processing fueled her passion to develop a business that streamlined and simplified what is considered a highly complex field. Her belief that simplified processes, layered with technology solutions and strong program management, has fueled the success of Fakhoury Global Immigration. Ms. Fakhoury’s main current focus is managing, growing and overseeing the company in order to ensure that FGI consistently meets and exceeds client expectations.
With over fourteen years of experience in global immigration, Ms. Fakhoury has presented on various global immigration topics for the International Bar Association, INS Zoom Immigration conference, Employee Relocation Council, American Society of Employers, Forum for Expatriate Management, the International Law Office and has contributed to FGI’s immigration roundtables and monthly educational webinars.
Ms. Fakhoury received a Bachelor of Science degree in Mathematics and Economics from the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor as well as a Masters degree in Business Administration. Prior to starting her immigration practice, she spent many years in consulting with a focus on lean processing and profit maximization. This practical consulting experience lent itself well to the foundation of her immigration practice. To compliment her focus on lean processing, she earned her Six Sigma certification in 2005. Ms. Fakhoury is involved in a number of business organizations and sits on the board of several including the International Advisory Committee for Automation Alley, The Society of Human Resource Management, (SHRM) and the Forum for Expatriate Management (FEM). She is also an active participant on the boards of the University of Michigan and Detroit Country Day School. In her spare time, she enjoys playing squash, reading, traveling, and spending time with her husband and three children.
